With No Sense of Irony, Christine O’Donnell says the FEC suit against her is a “Witch Hunt”

Our favorite local Sarah Palin, failed 2010 GOP Senate candidate Christine O’Donnell, says that the FEC lawsuit alleging that she illegally used campaign donations for personal expenses is actually a “witch hunt” and that she can’t get a new attorney in Delaware because they are being intimidated.

She is also having trouble hiring a local attorney, she said, claiming that at least three lawyers she has talked to have received phone calls warning of “political backlash” if they represent her. Her former local attorney, Richard Abbott, withdrew last month, saying he hasn’t been paid for his services.

Really???! Well surely these attorneys will swear out affidavits under oath supporting this shocking allegation!

Yeah not so much.

In this week’s address, the Vice President speaks to his and the President’s commitment to protecting our country from terrorists, while also providing refuge to some of the world’s most vulnerable people.

Desperately Seeking MVP Candidates!

Desperately Seeking MVP Candidates!

It’s that time of year again! Time to nominate those who were Most Valuable to the Progressive Cause in Delaware in 2015.  Here is the main rule: You must submit your rationale along with your nomination.  The nominee doesn’t even have to be a progressive, Christine O’Donnell won one year for the sh*tstorm she unleashed on the Rethuglican Party.

In the last two years, the winners ended up coming from your nominations.  While I have a few names, including a tentative #1, your suggestions will, to a large extent, determine the names on the list.

Nominations close on Friday, December 11, with the list being published sometime around Christmas.

Have at it!

Friday Open Thread [11.20.15]

Donald Trump “was repeatedly asked to explain the difference between requiring Muslims to enter their information into a database and making Jewish people register in Nazi Germany,” MSNBC reports.

He responded four times by saying, “You tell me.”

Alright, Herr Trump, I’ll tell you. There is no difference.

Rubio one-ups Trump’s fascism

I presume Marco Rubio means to close down places like the Westboro Baptist Church, Redstate.com and the NRA with his plans to close down places where “radicals are begin inspired.”

Fox News’ Megyn Kelly Asked Rubio about Trump’s statement that the U.S. may need to close mosques.

“Well I think we need to target radicalism — a lot of it is actually happening online, not simply in mosques,” Rubio said in response. “The vast majority of mosques in America are not…”

“But the mosque piece of it is the controversial piece, so where do you stand on that?” Kelly jumped in to ask.

“Well, I think it’s not about closing down mosques. It’s about closing down any place, whether it’s a cafe, a diner, an internet site, any place where radicals are being inspired,” the senator said.

DEGOP Heaps scorn on John Carney for his Johnny-come-lately conservatism

I don’t know who John Carney was trying to impress with his vote to give the GOP a veto proof majority. It seems to have filled Charlie Copeland with contempt. Newark, DE — The Chairman of the Delaware Republican Party, Charlie Copeland, released the following statement this morning in reaction to Congressman John Carney’s vote […]

The Democratic Party as things stand right now

Joe Biden: “The only way terror wins is if they cause you to change your values.”

John Carney: “Fuck that, It’s pants pissing time!!!”

(John Carney’s vote helped provide Republicans with a veto proof majority.)

Now that Carney is no longer viable as a Governor, who should replace him?

Vote in the poll and mention ideas below. Here are mine:

Bethany Hall Long (already running for Lt. Governor, perhaps she can be convinced to remove the Lt.)
Paul Baumbach.
Bryan Townsend (yeah, he is already running for Congress, but perhaps he is more valuable in Dover?)
Sean Lynn.
John Kowalko.

John Carney Just Voted with the Republicans. He cannot be our next Governor.

John Carney Just Voted with the Republicans. He cannot be our next Governor.

He just disqualified himself from future political office with his vote today. He must be defeated at all costs in the coming Democratic Primary. Too bad there are no Democrats willing to step up and challenge him at the moment.
