Dave Burris will simply LOVE Trump (or Cruz) for President – You can take that to the bank

Trump

Here is the day in 2016 that I’m looking forward to. It is the day when whatever passes for the Delaware Republican establishment falls in love with their presidential nominee. Ken Simpler, Charlie Copeland and Dave Burris consider backing Donald Trump as unthinkable right now, but a 180 degree changing of their tunes is inevitable. Josh Marshall at TPM puts it succinctly:

People of all stripes have a great ability to decide that what they cannot prevent is in fact awesome. I would go as far as to say that the big thing to watch right now, the big event, isn’t so much Trump and Cruz’s poll numbers and whether they’ll hold up as the increasing signs that the Republican party is beginning the process of embracing that outcome.

It will take some mighty rationalizations, but just wait for it. The Trump (or Cruz) train is coming, and Copeland, Burris and Simple [the smart, reasonable and sober Republicans] are not only going to board it, but they are going to be its Delaware conductors.

Let me state that I think it is unfair to single out Dave Burris unless you lift his ban on commenting here.

As for the rest of them, I hope that it occurs at the end of an acrimonious brokered convention. But it will happen. And we need to ask all of them how the Delaware Muslim registry is going to work in Delaware.

    He’s banned?

If true, I’ll have a I fix that. In the meantime he is a public figure.

Continue with the list of perceived grievances!

Can we sing “I wish I was a Dupont!”

    That’s my favorite!!!!!

How about “My balls are on the tree (because I never use them)” ??

That said, you know this post is 100% accurate.

Jason, thinking you’re psychic again? You know with certainty what Burris will do? No chance you can be wrong? You don’t see Trump as the crisis figure that many prominent Republicans OPENLY see him as for the control and direction of the GOP: the figure that embodies the ire and revolt of the rank and file (admittedly, the swill) of the GOP against the establishment? None of that is sincere because you are psychic. I believe there is medication for that.

Sadly you block dozens of people from commenting. You are very afraid of an independent argument.

    Cowards.
