The Weekly Addresses

Filed in National by on February 20, 2016

In this week’s address, President Obama discussed his upcoming trip to Cuba, a visit that will further advance the progress we’ve made since he announced the new chapter of U.S. – Cuba relations more than a year ago.

In his weekly message, Governor Markell highlighted the commitment Delaware has made to investing in alternatives to incarceration.

This week, the President headed west to California where he designated three new national monuments and met with 10 leaders from Southeast Asia. Then, the President returned to DC where he met with the Stanley Cup Winning Chicago Blackhawks, designated leaders of a commission on Cybersecurity and celebrated African American History Month with leaders of the civil rights movement.

This change in our Cuba policy is 40 years overdue. I’m glad Obama is taking this bullshit off the table as a campaign issue.
