Mid Atlantic/Northeastern/Acela Super Tuesday Results
Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania and Connecticut close their polls at 8 pm. Rhode Island closes at 9. Besides the main Presidential primary, I am also interested in the PA Senate Primary between Fetterman, Ginty, and Sestak, and MD Senate Primary between Edwards and Van Hollen.
Information is leaking out about the exit polls, and you can take them or leave them. Whatever interesting nuggets I find, I will post below.
This does not seem to be good news for Bernie Sanders:
FYI, exit polls were not performed in Delaware and Rhode Island. I protest the small state discrimination.
My exit poll, which I am conducting unscientifically by walking back and forth by the TV as I grill dinner, reveals a lot of people disjointed by the closed primary. I think these are Democrats who want to vote for Trump, which is not good news. They’ll get their chance in November.
Any predictions on numbers for the zombie Republican candidates on the Delaware ballot? Bush, Rubio, and Carson I think are still on the ballot. I’ll take Bush for > 15%.
That is a great question. To be honest, I didn’t even look at the GOP side of the ballot. If I had to guess, Rubio and Bush will get some noninsignificant vote, but I can’t see either topping 5%.
Who was the other Dem on the ballot?
Maryland is going to be brutal. Maybe 70% for Clinton.
Mike, his name is Rocky de la Fuente. He’s got a nice looking website. https://www.rocky2016.com/
I can’t tell what he is.
I heard on the radio heading home from the polls that Bush, Rubio, and Carson are still on the DE ballot because they didn’t turn in their withdrawal paperwork.
They are on the ballot because they only “suspended” their campaigns. They did no withdraw and still control any delegates elected who were pledged to them
The last exits I saw said Clinton +12 PA, +20 MD, +6 CT
“I think these are Democrats who want to vote for Trump, which is not good news. They’ll get their chance in November.”
If Hillary wins, it is hello President Trump.
Bullshit.
Hillary wins Maryland instantly at closing
CLINTON wins MD by significant margin, leads in PA. Too early to call in CT, DE, RI.

An Olive branch to the Sanders crowd: it looks like he will win Rhode Island.

MSNBC finally gets off its ass and calls PA for Hillary.
Interesting results in Delaware. Nearly 60/40 Clinton in every county. I’m surprised that it was virtually the same result given the contrast between rural and metropolitan areas.
That was a good speech by Clinton.
From the Clibton speech cnn goes directly to an ad from the Petroleum Council.
Guess that’s about it then. Congrats Hillraisers. I’m weary of this war. Baron Zemo, out.
Surely you jest.
@KT “Surely you jest.”
What?? You want to see Bernie Sanders turn into Ralph Nader?
We know how that ends…
Can someone explain the District 29 results? It’s the only District that Sanders won. Do all of you Sanders supporters live on the same block? Is it something in the water? Explanation please.
