Depressing News – MSNBC going conservative
Because there are never enough wingnut talking heads on TV.
…In what is perhaps the network’s most overt symbol of the new tone, however, is another ad that will run in some conservative and mainstream outlets. The ad features some of MSNBC’s conservative and Republican contributors — like radio host Hugh Hewitt, GOP consultant Steve Schmidt and former RNC chairman Michael Steele — with a cheeky message: “People might start accusing us of leaning too far to the right.”
Griffin cast the rebranding as just one more stage in MSNBC’s “evolution.”
There’s no money to be made in being liberal.
Let’s create a lot more out-of-work Republican politicians and operatives for MSNBC to employ.
There is always Rachel Maddow, the only real reason I watch MSNBC
@Frank: You mean there’s no money to be made telling people to seek the truth through critical thinking. That’s the last thing advertisers want.
do you want a liberal fox news? in both cases, it would telling people what they already believe, allowing people to stay in their own bubble. if that’s bad for the right, then it’s bad for the left.
It doesn’t really matter that they are overtly going conservative. They mostly saw news as reporting about political horse races and popularity polling. There was almost never, except for occasionally with Rachel and Lawrence, offered any in depth analysis of situations and issues. Mostly it was what passes for the sensational in the news only from a liberal perspective.
The real loss happened months ago: the American version of Al Jazeera going off the air. They actually analyzed issues and social and economic situations.
What do you mean going? Abnormally biased opinions and reporting on behalf of the two -party status-quo Hillary Clinton preservationists already unveiled their willingness to preserve market-share with the political spenders.
Rep. Kowalko
I’d like to hear the business case for more Hugh Hewitt commentary on TV.
I’d like to hear the case for ever turning on the TV.
Read the whole article, this is good. We don’t need to be told our opinions like the crazies on the right. MSNBC was getting too much like fox of the left, and that just cheapens our ideology.
