a. Trump getting destroyed by the Democrats.
b. The GOP’s convention brawl as Trump is denied the nomination.
Watch for the rules committee making a new rule that says you need to win two consecutive ballots to actually be nominated… Oh… and make lots of popcorn.
The best outcome for Republicans is if Trump withdraws on his own before the convention. Repubs know they are going to lose, but they really can’t afford to lose with Trump.
I thought Trump was going to be a much tougher opponent. But he seemed to melt down starting with his Curiel comments, even as Paul Ryan endorsed him. Trump imploded all by himself before Hillary even clinched the nomination. I don’t see how Trump can regain his footing, especially not with the very smart Clinton ad writers on the case now. But, it is a long campaign, and at some point people will get tired of Democrats gleefully telling them how much Trump sucks, as if they were happy not to be talking about their own plans.
Trump’s speech last night shows that the grownups have taken over.
He’ll be a neutered robo-candiate from here on out. Look for him to speak ONLY about how bad Clinton is and how terrible Obama has been. It isn’t going to be much of a campaign, but he’ll win enough to keep the GOP from going completely out of business as a party.
I read somewhere this morning that all the convention has to do is adopt a rule allowing for a vote to unbind the delegates. If he keeps going on Curiel, I wouldn’t rule that out.
Just by the by, under Trump Rules, that Stanford alum judge would never be allowed to conduct a trial of a Stanford swimmer accused of rape.
I can’t decide what would be more fun to watch…

@J “He’ll be a neutered robo-candiate from here on out.”
I think he’ll be that maybe 95% of the time. But I don’t think that he can’t control himself.
It’s the other 5%…

@Jason: Except he went on Hannity later and undid the whole thing. It’s a lot more than 5%. More like 95%.
Bill & Hillary are no better..
Tom, everyone on Earth is better. Even you.
It is true. Even Kline would be a better President than Trump
