On Friday, June 24, President Obama designated the Stonewall National Monument – the first national monument dedicated to telling the story of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community’s struggle for equal rights.

This week was full of travel, as the First Family took a break from the big city — and a breath of fresh air — in Yosemite and the Carlsbad Caverns. Dr. Biden headed south to Central and South America, and the Vice President traced his roots in Ireland.
