Celia Cohen wrote about the WDEL Lt. Gov debate. I read it, and now I’m less smart
According to Celia, two noteworthy things happened during the debate and one note worthy thing happened just after it.
Loudell asked a good question: Is this office useless? Ciro Poppiti spoke of himself in the third person during the debate and Bethany Hall-Long had an egregious double-typo in her post debate email “Deomcratic Exeuctive.”
I learned nothing else about anything, everything else was fluffy and filler. If you doubt that, read it yourself.
Celia did not have a lot to work with. I thought her piece was kind of funny. This LT Gov debate just proved watch a bunch of poor candidates we have running. They are all in over their heads. We are lucky the job doesn’t matter. Hope John Carney’s health is really great —with this bunch waiting in the wings.
@Jason, I listened to about 30 minutes of the debate and I’ll need to sleep at a Holiday Inn express to get back to where I was. I think the article captures the farcical nature of people vying for an office that has proven to be irrelevant pretty well. Anyone tempted to listen to the podcast should just read the article instead.
Is there a podcast of this? I looked over at WDEL’s site and as usual, can’t find anything.
And I want to know if we can’t just have Matt Denn do two jobs, AG and LG for the duration. Seriously.
Anyone leaning a certain way at this point with this crew? Just curious. I like Eaby’s push for legalization, but his emphasis on his initials in his campaign is insufferable. lol.
Good question. Seems like everyone in this race is running for Self-Aggrandizer, not Lt. Governor.
The appropriate math formula? 6 times 0=0.
Cassandra: This appears to be the podcast.

The web site is like an Easter egg hunt.
Mike, in the words of Austin Powers, “Oh BEhave!” Just couldn’t resist.
