‘Bulo Brings the Blues to Arden!
This may be the best blues bill I’ve ever booked.
Joe Louis Walker brings his band to the Arden Gild Hall on Thursday, October 13 at 8 pm. The so-called opener, Bob Malone, is also not to be missed.
JLW is the reigning Blues Music Awards Male Contemporary Blues Performer of the Year and is an inductee into the Blues Foundation Hall of Fame. A true triple threat–axeman, singer, and songwriter. Here is a tiny taste of what you can expect:
Did I mention that he’s a great songwriter? I first got on board in the 1980’s when I heard this song, which transcends genre:

Oh, and opener Bob Malone is a headliner in his own right. When he’s not playing keys with John Fogerty (they’re currently doing a residency in Las Vegas), he’s wowing fans with his solo wizardry that combines Jerry Lee Lewis with Leon Russell and perhaps a soupcon of Dr. John thrown in:
No, he won’t have a band with him, but he’s a human whirling dervish on the keys.
Tickets are $25 for guests ($20 if you’re an Arden Club member), and you can get more information here.
I’ll make the same offer as before. Let me know that you’re coming, and the first beverage (alcoholic or otherwise) is on me.
We now return to the Delaware Liberal blog, currently and always, in progress.
Checking my calendar. Love me some blues.
We saw Bob Malone last year at the Bellfont Cafe. He was awesome.
Bob will be playing the Bellefonte Cafe Friday, Oct. 14, the night after our show. I love the Bellefonte Cafe, a delightfully funky place where you can get a real good meal. And Bob really rocks the house.
