Ever the Chickenshit, Mike Castle Refused to Sign Anti-Trump Letter from former GOP Lawmakers
Thirty Republicans who served in Congress signed a letter saying they couldn’t vote for Trump in the general election. Mike Castle refused to sign.
“In nominating Donald Trump, the Republican Party has asked the people of the United States to entrust their future to a man who insults women, mocks the handicapped, urges that dissent be met with violence, seeks to impose religious tests for entry into the United States, and applies a de facto ethnicity test to judges,” the letter reads. “He offends our allies and praises dictators. His public statements are peppered with lies. He belittles our heroes and insults the parents of men who have died serving our country. Every day brings a fresh revelation that highlights the unacceptable danger in electing him to lead our nation.”
I dread reading this spineless quisling’s obituary. Oh, Celia will praise the shit out of him for his “moderation” when in fact he did nothing toward the end of his sad career other than let the GOP be taken over by maniacs and stand around clapping while George W. Bush went on a murder spree.
Worse, he has become publicly petty and bitter since his loss to Christine O’Donnell. Opposing Trump should have been the easiest call of his career. Instead, it will be noted in that obituary that he faded from notice with the rest of the mainstreamers-turned-Trumpkins.
Seriously, do these morons not get that Trumpkins want to throw all the bums out, not just the Democrats? None of these people who want to become the post-Trump leader of the party understand that they will have only half a party left, and not the half with the most people in it.
Castle is a real profile in courage. Pitiful.
