Millennials aren’t the generation who set this mess up. We dont make up Fox New’s entire viewership and maybe a full 10 of us nutkins are actually in the government. Go blame someone else.

Millenials are no different than every young generation since the 60’s. They don’t show up, don’t care and couldn’t spend a minute learning how the political world works.
Yeah, I’m tired of blaming millennials – the majority of which support Clinton. I, too, live and speak with this age group, and I haven’t found what you have. My daughter attends school in Philadelphia and all these kids are not only informed, but volunteering. They are involved.
My son (22) has volunteered as well, and has been paying close attention to this race. FYI: This is new behavior for him. Ben (our resident millennial!) has handled the loss of his chosen candidate with grace. Sure, he was disappointed, but he isn’t the age group on this blog whining about things and pointing fingers at everyone. Ben got on board and got to work.
And it’s infuriating how a week before the election certain progressives are fine with gasping over emails and pointing out our candidate’s vulnerability. Yeah, that makes sense. There’s a time and a place for this conversation – and it’s not a week before the flippin’ election. But it does explain why Ds lose so much.
I’ll just place this here again: “Fractious and have no sense of loyalty; will publicly tear out the intestines of those closest to them at the most politically inopportune times.” Boy, does that sound familiar!
When I worked with the Eugene Young for Mayor team – it was bursting with involved and informed millennials. The kids are alright – it’s the older white “progressive” guys that worry me more. Trump’s immigration stance and misogyny appeal to some of them – along with a strong desire to say, “I told ya so! We elected the wrong candidate!”
I guess I stand corrected. I don’t think that the Clinton campaign is so fragile that this post could break it. But I suppose i should take it down just in case.

That said, I have been so impressed with my kids, my nieces/nephews and their friends. They will vote. They volunteer. The ones that think there’s no difference between the two parties won’t vote – and didn’t vote in the primary either.
Probably true. My bullshit detector should have tipped me off that I wasn’t talking to actual voters.
Look, a lot of us are ass holes. A frank conversation about the people who are about to start taking over is certainly merited.
For example…. My biggest problem with my generation (mostly the white ones) is how many are buying in to the “racism is dead” bullshit. THEY aren’t racist, therefor talking about racism just reminds everyone it “was” a thing and opens all the wounds again bums everyone out, man. It’s an extension of that “well, if you want everyone to be treated equally why do we still have affirmative action?” line that, likely their overtly racist parents, keeps getting brought up and falsely tagged as “neoliberalism”. Too many Millennial men talk about how they “wont hold a door for a lady” because they are “feminists”.. It’s mind boggling.

It’s closer than it should be. That is true if Clinton wins all 50 states and only 6 people vote for Trump.

But Jason, you predicted a close race almost a year ago. It was always going to be close. Most Republicans will vote for anything with an R next to its name. Trump proves your claim. Anyone who thinks this race wasn’t going to close – no matter who was running – doesn’t have a clue.
