Someone check in on Celia
There are a lot of politics going down in the First State and she hasn’t posted anything since the 8th. A special election in the 1Oth SD? Patti Blevins getting Blovened? And yet, crickets are chirping in her corner of the world wide web.
She even passed on writing up something on Return Day, which is like her Christmas. When not writing about Mike Castle or Tom Carper, she maintains what she probably considers an icy, and detached objectivity. Maybe this election was too much for her? It was too much for me, and don’t carry the extra burden of feigning objectivity.
Is there gonna be a post analyzing why Patti lost her seat? I know I’m not alone when I say I was very surprised!
Some of us just need space to gather our thoughts.
To be fair, I could say the same about Delaware Liberal. All the things you’ve mentioned haven’t really been discussed here and you guys have more contributors than she does. It’s pretty much been Wall to wall Trump coverage. No substantive talk about the state parties post election, the coming specials, or the fact that we have three of the state’s largest governments transitioning into new hands at the same time. Pretty weak stuff. With all due respect.
I have to agree, nothing said on New Castle County either.
Where was the story on the Bloom energy debacle here after the News Journal exposed all the nonsense?? Crickets…
Bane. I agree. This post was as much kicking myself in the butt as kicking Celia, although being a narcissist, I can’t really get into true self-examination.
It’s official, Chris is a bot.
She has unfortunately become irrelevant. No real breaking news and always a week or so late. Use to look forward to her work but Del lib has been the place to go for a while now
Where do we now go for return day rumors of the next statewide election cycle
@Anon: You’re just going to have to make up some yourself.
I predict A younger dem will run for treas and auditor… also predict LBR will have a competitive race
At the top of Grapevine this AM:
TIME
Delaware Grapevine has shut down. After 42 years of political writing, it is enough. Cohen out
This election broke her. I’m not surprised. It nearly broke me.
