The next big election is already upon us — the race for the DNC Chair. Dems are already squaring off, sides are being drawn, expletives are being thrown. Elections are the best. This shouldn’t turn into a battle between Clinton and Sanders supporters, but it will has.
Sanders has come out in support of Rep. Keith Ellison, but others aren’t that impressed especially with support from the Washing Dem elite like Schumer and Reid. Glen Maxey, a Texas DNC official who likes referring to himself in the third person said, “Glen Maxey ain’t voting for nobody because they told me to.”
Howard Dean has thrown his hat in to the ring. With his formable record and his promise to do the job full time, he has a good chance.
There are others that may be interested: Ilyse Hogue, Raymond Buckley, Xavier Becerra, Martin O’Malley, and R.T. Rybak, to name a few.
As Mo Elleithee said,“You typically look for three things when you’re looking for a chair. A good fundraiser, a good messenger and someone who can focus on infrastructure. President Trump will be the best fundraiser the DNC will ever have. So let’s focus on the other two.”
Do you agree with Elleithee that we don’t have to focus on fundraising? I don’t. All three are important aspects of the DNC chair. Who would you like to see run the Democratic Party over the next four years? What do you want them to do?
