Lisa Blunt Rochester announced the appointment of Minh Ta as her Chief of Staff and Sylvia Banks, a former DuPont executive as State Director.
Ta has served in senior roles for two Members of Congress. Most recently as Chief of Staff to Congresswoman Gwen Moore (D-WI), a senior member of the House Financial Services Committee and the Ranking Member of the Monetary Policy and Trade Subcommittee. In this capacity, Ta was the chief political and policy adviser and managed offices in Washington D.C. and Milwaukee. Before joining Rep. Moore’s staff in 2011, Ta served as the Legislative Director for Congressman Keith Ellison (D-MN), also a member of the Financial Services Committee, for over four years.
Banks, a 30-year resident of Delaware, was formerly Manager of the Corporate Contributions Program for the DuPont Company. She is a native of Washington, D.C. and attended Howard University. Banks was a Founding Trustee of the Metropolitan Wilmington Urban League and has served on the Board of Directors of the Delaware State Chamber of Commerce and the Delaware Grantmakers Association. She was also Board Chair of the Wilmington Renaissance Corporation and a member of the Henrietta Johnson Medical Center Advisory Committee.
