It is clearly a big upgrade. Raser-Schramm brings a lot of energy and the proven ability to win elections. I hope it also means that the Democratic brand comes into sharper focus. For too long Democratic politicians have used LGBTQ friendliness as a fig leaf to cover their Republican, trickle down economic sensibilities. It is time that being a Democrat means more that being someone who is comfortable using gays as window dressing.

Visited Erik Raser-Schramm at his farm and am thrilled to hear that he is running for chair of the Delaware Democratic Party! I met Erik more than ten years ago when I first started volunteering in politics. Erik has dedicated his life to Democratic campaigns and progressive causes and will breathe new life into the state party. What an exciting development that will help transform the party, invigorate our politics, and help move Delaware forward!
