Just a little codicil to the story about the bull statue on Wall Street: the sculptor, Arturo di Modica, placed his bull statue on the street without permission back in 1987. If one of the sculptures has to go, it should be his.
The girl was placed by a wall street firm. It is performative corporate feminism.
Sure hope the “Crime Strategist” does better in Wilmington than he did in Chicago.
The little girl from the “Corporate Capital of the World” standing up to the Goliath that is corporate greed….It’s a good symbol.
Maybe she could even be standing in front of some other representations, like a coal miner and a nurse, and maybe some other working stiffs to go along with it.
I was planning to go to NY just to be photographed next to the girl facing the bull
