Democrats I Like
I get some guff for constantly pooping on Democrats. I don’t care about it that criticism because Democrats, with their apologetic gray goo posing as policy, are fully deserving of being pooped on. However there are a couple of Democrats that I like. Mainly because they seem guided by the values and ideals of the Democratic Party of a bygone age when to be a Democrat meant that you were on the side of the little guy. This is an incomplete list, but you can help round it out in the comments.
Delaware:
Matt Denn
John Kowalko
Sean Lynn
Eugene Young
Sean Matthews
David Bentz
Kim Williams
Bryan Townsend
Matt Meyer
The only thing that make most Democrats appeal to me is Republicans
Whoever primaries Carper
Whoever primaries governor slug.
I actually think JK might primary Gov Squidward. He seems awfully pissed off.
I’ll go JK here in DE. I’m retired, JK, I can put a lot of time in for you here in Middletown!
I feel the same way about corporate Dems, they are not an alternative to the Republicans, denials that their not “Republican Lite” unto death or not. What’s even worse is that the politics of FDR still resonate in America, and Bernie proved it. A democratic party that is not on the side of the little guy is no Democratic party at all.
Did LBR vote with the republicans on a bill allowing polluters to pollute?
Al Franken
The first person who leaps to mind is New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu. If you have not read or watched his speech to commemorate the removal of four of his city’s statues of Confederate heroes, you should.

I second both Franken and Landrieu.
Chris Murphy (D- Ct) / US Senator.
By the way, I’ll open the Kowalko for Governor Wilmington field office in my house if necessary. I’m behind that 100%.
Isn’t Denn in favor of the death penalty and keeping marijuana illegal?
When the DE Supreme Court ruled the death penalty unconstitutional Denn didn’t appeal.
Also, his public statement on marijuana was legalization was unnecessary because full decriminalization would ensure no one would be arrested/jailed. Shitty equivocation, but not a hard line.
Raul Grijalva
Jeff Merkley
Elizabeth Warren
Sherrod Brown
Ro Khanna and Tulsi Gabbard both look very promising, though in both cases I’m wary that their progressivism is the result of excellent political instincts paired w/ unbridled ambition, as opposed to being a sincere reflection of thier worldview.
John Kowalko is a Communist.
From Cali, I like Sen. Kamala Harris and Congressman Adam Schiff.
Quite tire of LBR’s bullshit messages telling us how hard she is fighting “for you”. Just replied to her latest fundraiser with this:
Why doesn’t Lisa come onboard as a cosponsor for the proposed “Medicare for all Act”? Why doesn’t she say to the State Democratic Party that it is no time to be cutting the state inheritance tax for the top 1% of Delaware’s residents(the donor class)? How about telling the current useless governor that you don’t balance the budget by cutting a property tax exemption for senior citizens in Delaware”
I can tell you why.
She’s a spineless clone of Carper, Carney, and, Mike Castle posing as a Democrat. She would not be able to run as a Democrat in almost any other blue state, other than Delaware, because she doesn’t understand what Democrats are all about. Kissing the butt of all her big donors and pretending to care about the actual people who voted for her does not make her a Democrat.
With any luck, in a year and a half, we won’t see any more fund raising requests from this pathetic excuse for a Democrat. I’ll vote for a Republican for the first time in my life.
I’ve decided to unsubscribe from your phony, “I’m really fighting for you” newsletters.
If we’re going to put conservadems like Murphy, Landreau and Schiff on the list it kinda defeats the purpose.
Schiff is challenging Rethug efforts to deep-six the investigations. Without him, Nunes might have gotten away with it.
@Monk81: The call was for Democrats people liked. How does naming them defeat the purpose, which was naming them?

John Kowalko is a Communist.
TK is a pile of steaming shit.
That is all.
@El Somnambulo I’m happy with Schiff’s work so far on the Russia investigation, but on the whole, he would fit in quite nicely with the current Delaware delegation.
@Alby Maybe I’m reading too much into Jason’s post, but I thought he was referring to Democrats that aren’t the embodiment of the current Democratic establishment.
“Like” is subjective so I don’t think everyone mentioned here needs to be perfectly liberal. Thanks for helping round out the list.
I wish Bernie was eligible, but “Democrat” in this use isn’t subjective.
COVFEFE, Bitches !
That reminds me, here is Paste’s list of Songs That May Or May Not Be About Covfefe:

You’re welcome.
I would simply substitute ‘covfefe’ (pronounced co-fee-fee) for ‘shipoopi’ in the following song:
