On a prima facie basis, Jason Stewart is another example of some decent recruiting by the DEGOP. Like their Senate picks last time out, Stewart is untested but looks fairly good on paper.
GOP candidate announces his campaign for state Senate seat

DOVER — Republican Jason Stewart said Wednesday he is running for the 17th Senatorial District seat.Incumbent Sen. Brian Bushweller, D-Dover, is not seeking re-election next year.
Rep. Trey Paradee, D-Cheswold, is running for the seat, and Republican Donyale Hall has formed a committee allowing her to raise funds for a campaign.
Mr. Stewart, a native of Kent County, is a graduate of Caesar Rodney High School and a former member of the U.S. Army Reserve who served in Iraq.
After returning from Iraq in 2010, Mr. Stewart joined the Inter-Con Security team of the U.S. Department of State for uniformed diplomatic security, where his duties included planning security arrangements for federal officials and leaders from other countries.
