WXDE’s Rob Petree, who interviewed Collins, cited the policies at issue, including rules that “school districts and charter schools would be required to work with students and families on providing access to locker rooms and bathrooms that correspond to students’ “gender identity or expression.” Also, “even if a student does not legally change his or her name, he or she can select a “preferred name” based on a “protected characteristic” that school officials would be obligated to use except on official records.”
Such rules don’t summon forth for me the armageddon envisioned by Collins, who sounds every bit the Alex Jones devotee in the audio clips at the link, though I have no idea if his regulation-based complaint is a valid argument. My question is, the guy lives a fairly short drive from Rehoboth Beach. Hasn’t anyone ever taken him to the Blue Moon?
