McConnell is now Schumer’s prison bitch… or something. I’m not sure the government shutdown resolution is that dramatic, but our GOP readers seem to go in for the violent homoerotic stuff.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer said Democrats will vote today to reopen the government.
“We will vote today to reopen the government to continue negotiating a global agreement with the commitment that if an agreement isn’t reached by February 8, the Senate will immediately proceed to consideration of legislation dealing with DACA,” Schumer said. “The process will be neutral and fair to all sides.”
This comes after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell promised from the Senate floor this morning that, if the government was reopened, he would address DACA and immigration, along with other key issues, before February 8.
