CNN’s Jake Tapper was interviewed on-air about his beloved Philadelphia Eagles, and he pulled no punches.

“The Patriots cheat. This is just a fact as established by investigations. They’re a cheating team.”

Accusing them of cheating is a poor excuse for dismissing the talent of a great football team. Yes, Belichek looks for an edge and sometimes goes over the line. But come on. If you see the way Tom Brady can run a two minute offense, and guys like Gronkowski and Amendola catch the ball, others teams just can’t handle that they are in a different league when it comes to experience, coaching and overall will to win. They didn’t pack it in and quit when down by 10 pts with 10 minutes left in Jacksonville. That being said, go Eagles and lose all the damn excuses and conspiracies if Pats win the game.

@REV: Rooting for sports teams is totally illogical except as an exercise in tribalism. I’d rather people work out their tribalism in the sporting sphere than the political one, saving the use of their logical facilities on political problems, since they have no use in football fandom.
