Nathan Arizona closes out a great week:
“The best band of the 1990s Brit-pop era and one of the best guitar-rock bands ever. The Gallagher brothers who led Oasis feuded constantly and finally broke up the group in 2009. Now each of them leads a band not as good as Oasis. Older brother Noel was the songwriter and guitar player. Liam — self-described “pretty boy” — was the lead singer. Here he is in full snarling guttersnipe mode. Did they learn things from the Beatles? Sure. But rarely has a band used an influence to make music this good.”
