Another good one. It reminded me of the Lee Michaels Hammond organ version that used to get air play back in the day, oh how things have changed.
T-Bone Walker wrote the song, and I love this version. There have been a lot of 10 minute guitar solos attached to this song. Me? I like my blues a bit more economical.
Not a fan of guitar wankery either, especially at local blues jams and open mics. But the Lee Michael’s version has a raw edge to it that the slick for the day T Bone does not, and the Hammond sounds bad ass.
