King Trump to decide if America will honor treaties and agreements today

Filed in National by on May 8, 2018

I get that the GOP is in control of the House, Senate, and Supreme Court – but does that mean we have invested rump with all these kinglike powers to walk away from our legal obligations?

I guess I don’t understand the constitution or something.

Who’s talking about Rudy and Stormy today? Seems like a distraction until they can get their “facts” straight.

Trump is a living breathing distraction, Sherlock. But one to whom we’ve given unchecked power. Why? Get to the bottom of that one and you’ll have earned your deerstalker cap.

This isn’t going to end well. There’s no way that our European allies will buy into imposing new sanctions based on unsupportable rank propaganda.

Just like the TPP, America will be on the outside looking in.

    Well…We had a good run.

Sure we were founded on genocide , but the soaring rhetoric of our early days as a country got us to get rid of slavery (eventually) and was an inspiration for some other’s around the globe yearning to breathe free.

We took on the Nazis and won. We rode our competitive streak to the moon, because we couldn’t stand the thought of the Ruskies getting there first.

Once there we got bored and allowed the CIA to make a mockery of those haughty, highminded fouding documents. Then we signed away the whole mess to a handful of very rich families. That was a mistake – but all in all, American “leadership” you were A-Okay.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Dumbfuck announced Tuesday the U.S. will pull out of the landmark nuclear accord with Iran, dealing a profound blow to U.S. allies and potentially deepening the president’s isolation on the world stage.

“The United States does not make empty threats,” he said in a televised address.

I suppose that means “I’m pulling out because I said I would.”

Now we need to see what Russia, China, Britain, France and Germany will do.

If they stick with the deal, as they should, it might open of a full blown trade war.

Will the US really impose penalties against France and Germany for ignoring Trump?

But China is the one to watch. Here’s a chance for them to really shine while screwing over the US. If China does what I expect it to do, this will be yet another self-inflicted wound for the US.

The world may find it in their best interest to try and appease Trump and ride out this fucked up episide.

That system has worked (so far) for the GOP and for congressional Democrats

The world is certainly going to take a good look at just how badly they need us. EU/China/Russia could unite and impose crippling sanctions on us.
    they should.

Native Americans can attest to the value of the U.S. government’s signature on a treaty.

It’ll be so neat when Pompeo turns up in Pyongyang to sell Kim on giving up the bomb.

    Succinct.
