Conservative attitudes about veterans closely resembles the “pro life” obsession with “the unborn” and near total disregard for the children in need and without a supportive family once they are born. Republicans love to talk about “the troops!” and “the boys over there” but could care less about PTSD and homelessness amongst vets, they view the VA as a potential profit center for would be investors and not a service owed to veterans.

“Thank you for your service” is not positive…its a throw away sentence, so you don’t have to ask, and, “how are you, what do you need”? Republicans view of soldiers after their service, “useless eaters’, just like the seniors, the disabled, the homeless, the poor, and under Trumpism, the middle class.
