Gram Parsons’ time in the Byrds spanned only the creation of Sweetheart Of The Rodeo. In fact, by the time the highly-influential album was released, Parsons had already left the group. But the album is at least every but as much a Parsons album as it is a Byrds album, even though Roger McGuinn replaced Parsons’ vocals on a couple of songs. Not this one, though.
