Wow. Talks about the fix being in. Turns out that retiring Justice Anthony Kennedy has a son who was global head of real estate capital markets at Deutsche Bank, which just happens to be the only legitimate Western bank that would lend money to Trump. This apparently was the cornerstone of a high-pressure charm offensive to get Kennedy to retire.

It turns out the Annapolis gunman wasn’t out to get all journalists, just the ones at the newspaper that dared to report on his conviction for harassing a woman. He’s been making threats against the paper for years, so he strikes me as exactly the sort of person so-called “red flag” laws are written for. The good news there is that state legislatures around the country, including Delaware’s, have had the most success at controlling guns with these laws, which even gun nuts claim to want.
Kudos to the young reporter for the Annapolis newspaper who told Anderson Cooper on live TV, “Thanks for your prayers but I couldn’t give a fuck about them if there’s nothing else.”
