Yesterday was dramatic, but there are still a lot of things that are not going to happen.
-Trump is not going to be impeached. 2/3rds of the Senate will never vote to remove Trump.
– Elected Republicans in the House and Senate are not going to turn against Trump. A bone deep fear of the MAGA crowd informs everything they do.
– Susan Collins is not going to block Trump’s pick for the Supreme Court. Susan Collins is no different than every other elected republican.
– Republicans running for office (locally and nationally) are not going to withdraw their silent acquiescing support for Trump.
– Democrat voters are not going to forget all of this by November.
