Nervous Tom Carper Tries to Influence GOP Primary Voters

Tom Carper apparently sent out a fundraising email attacking Rob Arlett, but why?

Senator Tom Carper is feeling some heat. He made the uncharacteristic move of acknowledging an opponent's existence by attacking them. Moreover, instead of his primary opponent, he attacked Rob Arlett who is not even the favorite to win the GOP nomination. That this is a fundraising email is a farce. Tom Carper doesn’t need the money so he is clearly trying to accomplish some other goals.

Kerri Harris can win this. If she does, it will likely be by running for a $15.00 minimum wage and for medicare for all - and not against Tom Carper.
Imagine working 40 hours a week, every week, and still not being able to feed your family, pay your rent or seek medical treatment when you need it. For many Americans, no imagination is needed. This is their reality. We have been told repeatedly that working hard is the pathway out of poverty. Clearly, this isn’t true. Millions of Americans go to work every day and still live below the poverty line because the federal minimum wage of $7.25 is too low. The last time Congress voted to raise the minimum wage was over a decade ago. Since then, wages have stayed the same while the cost of living has continued to rise.
