Song of the Day 3/7: The Beths, “Future Me Hates Me”
They’re from New Zealand, they’re a bunch of kids who know each other from high school, they’re making a splash stateside (they played Philly last week) and the title track from their new album is the most kick-ass power pop song of the year so far. That’s all I know, and all ye need to know.
Truth is indeed beauty. This lands right in the center of my sweet spot.
This is great. Power pop will never die (in a just world). Girl has a sweet smile, too.
