Wishing Well To Those Impacted By Last Night’s Storms

Looks like it was a horrible late night/early morning for those in western Sussex County. From the Delmarva firefighters blog:

Crews from Laurel Fire Dept., Blades Volunteer Fire Company, Seaford Volunteer Fire Department, Inc., Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Company, Inc., Greenwood Volunteer Fire Company, Delmar Fire Department, Gumboro Volunteer Fire Company, Georgetown Fire Company and Sussex County Tech Rescue units from Ellendale Fire Company and Indian River Vol Fire Co are responding to numerous incidents in western Sussex County due to a severe storm.

Blades Volunteer Fire Company is being opened as a shelter for numerous displaced residents in the area. Red Cross is responding to assist.

Looks like definite tornadic activity near Seaford. The News Journal reports that trailers have been destroyed. Some roads are impassable and thousands are without power.

We hope that all of you are safe. Please let us know what you are seeing and what we can do to help.
