For years it has been a given that electeds like McBride and Poore have more to fear from the NRA gun nuts than from people who favor gun sanity.

That is changing, but I guess how much it has changed will be put to a test.

  3. This is a major betrayal by the two Democratic leaders in the Senate:

Here’s the big takeaway: Both Democratic leaders lied to everyone. McBride promised the bills would get out of committee and would be considered on the floor. Both he and Poore have earned major primary challenges, and it’s time we all work to get rid of these two unethical legislators.

Cathy Cloutier who, I repeat, Matt, is NOT from Arden, also refused to vote to release the bills from committee. It’s time a good D retires her.

What a betrayal. The President Pro-Tem made a solemn pledge that these bills would be released and then he went back on his word. The man has proven himself to be a liar. He has lost whatever credibility he had left.

Who would primary McBride or poore?

      Any serious names so far?

      • While I don’t know, the districts that they represent are overwhelmingly D–and overwhelmingly anti-NRA. Neither district is at risk of flipping to R.

      • If you look at D reps who reside in the two senate districts, it’s possible that Kendra Johnson and perhaps even David Bentz are in McBride’s district.

And Val Longhurst and Melissa Minor-Brown could be in Nicole Poore’s district.

Wow, could you imagine a battle between ex-drinking buddies Longhurst and Poore? I salivate at the thought…

From what I’ve heard Poore apparently already has a primary challenge.
