72, Count ‘Em, 72,  Philly Cops Suspended For Racist & Anti-Muslim Facebook Posts. Here’s the research that nailed ’em.  Gee, think we might find something similar here in Delaware?

The Reprisal On Iran That Wasn’t.  Jee-zus.  It’s almost impossible that these bozos won’t get us involved in military action here.

Biden Reached Out To Eastland To Craft Anti-Busing Legislation.  He owned it back then:

“I want you to know that I very much appreciate your help during this week’s Committee meeting in attempting to bring my antibusing legislation to a vote,” Biden wrote on June 30, 1977.

The recipient of Biden’s entreaty was Sen. James O. Eastland, at the time a well-known segregationist who had called blacks “an inferior race” and once vowed to prevent blacks and whites from eating together in Washington. The exchange, revealed in a series of letters, offers a new glimpse into an old relationship that erupted this week as a major controversy for Biden’s presidential campaign.

Regardless of the context of the times, Biden has been so wrong on so many things over the years.  Does anybody think he’ll be less wrong and more right as president?

From a NYTimes story about the politics of anti-immigrant panic Minnesota:

Bob Carrillo, a former radio host who lives in St. Michael, Minn., and has gained prominence for his anti-immigrant stance, said Mr. Trump had given voice to the concerns of “longtime Minnesotans. … [Immigrants from Africa are] 2 percent of the population right now, and in 5 to 10 years they’ll be at 5 percent. At that point, we’re done for.”

One woman, who declined to give her name, bemoaned the city’s so-called no-go zones, or the areas where white residents said they felt so uncomfortable with the Somali-American presence that they would not return — a shopping mall, a community housing center and Beaver Island Trail, a hiking area that borders the Mississippi River.

“They were just —” she said, searching for the words to describe the offending behavior of the Somali-Americans. “They were just walking around.”

I don’t go to Hill Top and not b/c of the Chinese food and I sure as shit don’t go shopping at any of the stores at Adams Corner. I mean this isn’t that significant a revelation. I’m liberal, but not stupid. I know where I can go, and can’t go. it’s not b/c of their race.

I have more to lose than gain by going to places I know I’m most likely not wanted

Are you serious? This is not about going to a “bad neighbourhood” I don’t get it? Is this supposed to be funny? If it is, it appears to be missing something, like humor, or insightfulness?

        • Donviti says:

Well yes, I don’t go there.

I mean, this isn’t new man. People don’t go to places where their are lots of African Americans. Get out the fainting salts. It’s not like Trump magically made these people anti-immigrant. They’ve always been here. What’s nauseating isn’t those people, it’s the guy running the country has empowered them.
