STEVE,
I have something special to share with you – I’m running for state Senate.
All my life, I’ve been an activist who has fought to make my community a better place for everyone to live.
This community, this little slice of Delaware, is a special place. It’s where my brothers and I grew up and it’s where my parents fell in love. But it’s more than that.
It’s a place where we’re all neighbors. I’m running because our neighbors still need someone who will fight for them.
Even with “good” healthcare, premiums are still too high, coverage is still too limited, and prescriptions are still too expensive.
When someone you love is sick, you shouldn’t have to make the choice between going to work and taking care of them when they need you the most.
There is still critical work to be done to undo the double standards in our criminal justice system.
We can meet these challenges, but it will take big ideas and the courage to act. Together, we’ll prove that our community is able to make progress on healthcare, paid family leave, criminal justice reform – and then some.
I’ve spent my life standing up so that people can have dignity, peace of mind, and a fair shot at staying afloat and getting ahead.
I’m running for the Delaware State Senate to stand up for you, and I’m asking you to join me.
