Happy Labor Day Weekend – Remember to Thank a Veteran
Have a great weekend and when we all get back from wherever we are going it will be election season. If you haven’t already, pick your local favorite and work your ass off this year. Remember my four Iron RULES OF POLITICS:
- There are no innocent Republicans
- Any vote for a Republican anywhere is a vote for Trump.
- The Leadership of the Democratic Party is not the Democratic Party
- The Democratic Party is made up of the people who are working hard to fix the shitmess created by the Leadership of the Democratic Party working hand in glove with the GOP.
Hi, Jason,
As it’s Labor Day weekend, shouldn’t we be thanking a union member rather than a veteran?
Without the military to protect our freedom; unions wouldn’t have been able to do shit. Fact
Uhhhhh…protect it from what?
If you’ve been to a baseball game in the past ten years you know that every day is Veterans Day.
Lol soldiers fighting strikers during the Pullman strike killed 13.
Soldiers do what they are told.
So if we are playing that game they also escorted blacks into segregated schools and ensured federal law was being carried out the in the south.
Look dopey…I’m a vet. I know lots of vets. The only thing being a vet means to me is I get a discount at lowes.
I’m a veteran, we have a holiday. I will thank my husband for his service in the Union.
That’s what I’m talking about!
We have two days actually. Butnine is kinda a downer.
Technically, we only have one. One is for the living; the other is for the deceased.
Thank you to all those mothers who spent hours in the delivery room for many hours. This weekends for you!
Once again, the point of my post has been obscured by my tongue in cheek headline.

All four rules are false.
Rules can’t be “false.” You just disagree with them.
The Ten Commandments are rules, not facts. They’re commands, hence the name.
Graciously accepting thank yous for my service.
Also grateful that someone in the Navy brass thought the national defense was enhanced by having me sit behind a desk in Washington for two years rather than standing watch on a destroyer in the Gulf of Tonkin.
Sounds like a made up story to me. Lots of made up ones going around
Nope. Honest to God true. And in DC in the Vietnam era you only had to wear your uniform to work once a week.
