I end with a question: Last week, a committee comprised of members of Wilmington City Council recommended that Chris Johnson be appointed to fill the remaining term of retiring councilman Robert Williams. This was reported by both the News-Journal and WDEL. The recommendation was forwarded to Council, which was to consider the nomination on Thursday, August 29. Since then, there has been no follow-up from the press, and there has been no posting of the council minutes from that Aug. 29 meeting. I can find no confirmation as to what has happened with the council vacancy. So. Can somebody tell me: Is Chris Johnson a member of City Council yet?
