Crane wants to pretend that the Stonewall Democrats endorsement of Mike Ramone was kosher because they aren’t Democrats (technically), and also “rules.”
And yet, the Delaware Stonewall Democrats Web Page is still live and the Twitter account is still up. Moribund but live. So if you search for “Stonewall & Delaware” guess where you go? Spoiler, it isn’t a “We aren’t Democrats” page.

The real heroes of Stonewall initiated an uprising against the cops to demand basic humane and civil treatment. The DE Stonewall group have their collective tongues on the boots of police and the establishment.
Bizarro world. Orwellian. Establishment co-opts the spirit of righteous civil disobedience to kiss up to established power. To the extent Mitch Crane will be remembered it’ll be as an dime-a-dozen political operator & a two-bit fraud. But he does know Chris Coons personally, so that’s cool.
I just want to re-post this important fact. When we talk about ‘single issues” and devotion to those single issues while ignoring a majority of fairness and “equality” issues of all of those in need than we risk becoming as useless and damaging as those that oppose fairness and equitable treatment for all. Great strides have been made in gender bias issues but no noticeable progress has been made in education equality, wage equality, health care equality, class equality, immigration equality and a host of other divisive issues. So if your group/organization is committed/dedicated and embedded in a single issue while ignoring the plight of society your group has become as obstructive to honesty and fairness as any of the virulent and deliberate opponents of equality and until these groups can self-examine and recommit I, for one , will no longer accept their endorsement if offered. So once again thank you Mike Ramone from all of the under 18 year olds and job starters. They’ll still be eligible for food-stamps and medicaid that may have been endangered if we started paying them anything approaching a livable wage. Special thanks to Petey Schwartzkopf who has desk draw vetoed my (and Kim Williams) bill that would repeal Ramone’s “lifeguard fair pay act” that will add to his swim club profit margins. Thanks to all the greedy, lying bastards on both sides of the aisle who voted for that piece of shit bill because Danny (my wallet certainly isn’t) Short who threatened to hold the Bond Bill hostage. And a special shout out to all of the gutless bastards who said we struck a deal and made a promise that we had to keep rather than stay in session until the Bond Bill was finally and inevitably passed. And a full throated “F-U” to any and all that said “WE” made a deal. What you mean “WE” Kimo-sabe.

In fairness I didn’t see you all object when Sara McBride proudly shared their endorsement everywhere. Is she still a god or did she get pegged down a notch like the Markell establishment person shes always been.

And another thing… Mitch claims that the organization’s hands are tied because Ramone had a 100% voting record. (I don’t buy it, but let’s pretend that is accurate).
It is sheer nonsense on its face. He claims the Stonewall Democrats have no discretion whatsoever. So if it turns out that Mike Ramone is a rapist, they’d STILL have to endorse him over the Democrat in the race. it is a nonsense excuse from someone floundering and looking for some peice of flotsam to grab onto.
If that is the rule, it’s idiocy. But of course it’s not the rule. And these folks don’t care about rules they oppose anyway. Once Dems find out about this, support for the PAC will dry up.
It is idiocy. A less idiotic and more honest excuse would have been, “We endorsed him because he is a personal friend of Peter’s.”
That’s just as indefensible, but it makes them look merely corrupt instead of dishonest and corrupt.
