Hunter & Tucker

Hunter & Tucker

Tucker Carlson disclosed that he knows and likes Hunter Biden, which is very damning evidence of Hunter Biden’s low character. Worse than anything I’ve heard so far. And unlike most things Carlson says, it is totally believable. Dem and Republican elites have much more in common with each other than they have with us. Hunter […]

Judge Rules Trump Not A King. McGahn Must Testify.  We’re three years into seeing what Trump has done his entire career: Tie things up in court, counter-sue, refuse to give anything up voluntarily. Roy Cohn IS his Roy Cohn.  Our only hope is that the Trump judges haven’t taken total control of the judiciary. Ex-Ethics […]

Song of the Day 11/25: AC/DC, “Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap”

Filed in Arts and Entertainment by on November 25, 2019 2 Comments

The theme song for the Republican ratfucking brigade. This tune goes back to the Bon Scott days, a reminder that Brian Johnson could take his place but couldn’t really replace him. It was recorded and released in 1976 in Australia and the U.K., but not until 1981 in the States, a year after Scott’s death. […]

Working across the aisle is not inherently a problem

Working across the aisle is not inherently a problem

This is spot on.

Working across the aisle is not inherently a problem. The problem is when you make compromises that hurt the people you are supposed to represent.

Too often, that is what happens when our elected officials talk about “bipartisan solutions.” What they really mean is “we sold you out to protect corporate interests.” Chris Coons has taken nearly half a million dollars from the pharmaceutical industry so far this election, and he is currently sponsoring a *bipartisan* bill that would strengthen pharmaceutical company monopolies and keep drug prices high.

I don’t agree with that. I think our Senators should work for US, not the pharmaceutical companies. That’s why I’m refusing all corporate pac, pharma executive, and lobbyist money. – Jessica Scarene

Coons tries to frame his *bipartisanship* as “good government” when it actually only good for his corporate constituents.  Coons style bipartisanship has nothing to do with good government and everything to do with wrapping up corporate welfare in the flag and demanding everyone salute.

It’s Not The Crime–It’s The Crime AND The Coverup.  E-mails show that the Trump Administration scrambled to figure out a post-delay justification for their actions. Their blatant criminality is rivaled only by the blatant criminality of the Rethuglican Party, a party that has been transformed into a criminal entity to maintain power. Why Rudy Chose […]

Trump, Rudy, Bolton & Mulvaney Discuss Impeachment Strategy

Rudy Giuliani, twice “joked” that he has “insurance” in the event Trump tries to make him the fall guy in the Ukraine affaire.

In a telephone interview with the Guardian, in response to a question about whether he was nervous that Trump might “throw him under a bus” in the impeachment crisis, Giuliani said: “I’m not, but I do have very, very good insurance, so if he does, all my hospital bills will be paid.”

Then again on Fox News he then touted what he called a “very, very good relationship” with Trump before dropping the insurance reminder:

“I’ve seen things written like he’s going to throw me under the bus. When they say that, I say he isn’t, but I have insurance,” Giuliani told Fox News’s Ed Henry.

Song of the Day 11/22: The Byrds, “He Was a Friend of Mine”

Filed in Arts and Entertainment by on November 22, 2019 0 Comments

The assassination of John F. Kennedy was arguably the defining moment of the Boomer generation, and musicians responded with songs. Roger McGuinn — still Jim at the time — rewrote the lyrics to an old folk song that Bob Dylan had altered and recorded for his first album but did not use. It didn’t appear […]
