Sean Hannity fantasizes about next American strike on Iran which he says will lead to Iranians overthrowing their government

Filed in National by on January 3, 2020

Strong Daddy fantasies abound. Just read this and remember that Trump listens to this shit instead of listening to actual intelligence briefings.

SEAN HANNITY (HOST): So they want to respond, they try to respond, they try to retaliate. Well, what’s the first thing I think I’d be looking at if I’m an American President? There are three main refineries inside of Iran.

I have faith that if we targeted those three main refineries inside of Iran their economy would go belly up. And what would happen? Then the people of Iran, that have been protesting although there’s not a lot of news reporting on it, then they might have a chance to overthrow the Mullahs that have been terrorizing even their own people.

Trump listens to this shit instead of listening to actual intelligence briefings.

Inciting violence from a safe distance is what corporate tools do.

  2. Alby says:

I really don’t think the American public is going to rally behind this war. I could be wrong, of course — the media is working on its war graphics at this moment — but the odds of Americans giving a shit about which branch of Islam gains supremacy in the Middle East seem slim to me.

  3. Alby says:

It seems that, for now, he’s going with a claim of preventive strike. He’s going to have to produce some evidence for anyone to believe him.

  4. Mike Dinsmore says:

The Mango Mussolini is too dimwitted to think of this, but perhaps someone was doing the long term thinking for him – if the U.S. is at war, does the president have the authority to suspend elections?

    Any Constitutional scholars out there?

  5. Mitch says:

There is no constitutional authority to suspend elections. The 1864 presidential election was held during the Civil War. 1940 and 1944 were during WW II. Lincoln got away with suspending Habeus Corpus and FDR with the internment of Japanese-Americans, but no one seriously contemplated suspending elections.

No one dreamed of unilaterally assassinating a senior official of a foreign government with a killer flying robot either, so.

Have yet to see flag magnets sprouting on mini vans, but don’t rule it out, the stupidity of the American people is both deep and wide and the public could well “rally round the flag” yet again. I remember Viet Nam well and little has changed. And evidence or not some will buy this game, they always do.

Wilmington anti-war rally. 4pn today Haynes Park.
