This ‘Whip Count’ Podcast Doesn’t Suck
The podcast I don’t listen to very often is from the House Dem Caucus. [Full disclosure – I listened once and it was nothing more than the House Dem Caucus breaking their arms off patting themselves on the back for some basic decency like being opposed to slavery.]
Anyway… this one is good. Ruth Ann, turns out is a fairly interesting person. If not interesting, her story about the smoking ban makes look Carney horrible in comparison. Also, that “Delaware Reacts to 9/11” section was fucking bonkers. I mean, is it me, or was that section bonkers?
Podcast produced by Bunker alum Sam Barry. Son of Stephanie. Good eggs, both of them.
While I’m sticking to my podcast war with Whip Count (aka State Propaganda) I’m happy to hear it’s getting good (at least this one). He know he needs to try to keep up with Karl and me. 🙂
I used to to like it when the former governor would give us the all clear on the health of the inland bays by wading into the water and seeing if she could see her feet, while simultaneously letting industry exceed pollution limits of point source run off into the bays. It was all very scientific.
Do Republicans in Delaware actually have a better record on the environment than the Democrats do, historically? I mean Ruth Ann Miner literally let the NRG plant on Indian River get away with “thousands” of violations, and in the end charged them a measly $5,000 to get them all taken off the books.
For that matter, what’s John Carney, who weakened the Coastal Zone Act, going to do with the violations in Delaware from New Jersey based Middlesex Water Company MSEX (NASDAQ), which resulted in the closure of Delaware fisheries?
“DNREC is still determining an appropriate action to take in response to the violation.”…It should be violations.
Yes, Republicans in Delaware are better stewards of the environment. This is not seriously in question, except in Sussex County, where Republicans compete with algal blooms to determine which is the lower life form.
This is true. Even though we don’t have the infrastructure to handle it, Republicans in Sussex County rarely see a development proposal that they don’t want to rubber stamp…I’m kinda talking about statewide though.
