Republicans for Coons

Republicans for Coons

DelawareLiberal has many Republican readers who support Coons for Senate. We read your comments, and know that you like the fact that Coons shares your values and is eager to undermine Democratic initiatives. You appreciate the fact that he often makes speciaous “both sides” are at fault arguments in the press, thereby providing cover for Republicans. It is natural and fitting that Delaware Republicans support Coons in view of his record.

DelawareLiberal would like to hear your stories.  Contact us through the “Got a Tip” link at the top of the page. How much of your support is predicated on the fact that you have no real statewide candidates to support? How much is based on genuine affections for Coons? If you are a Republican that supports Chris Coons for Senate, we want to hear from you directly.

Trump Unreality Show’s Latest Plot Twist?: Put An End To Social Distancing.  A real plot twist, or just a guarantee that the networks will continue to cover this serial liar? These so-called briefings are now marathon political events.  Stop putting him on TV.  We wanna see Fauci, who has apparently been placed in involuntary quarantine […]

Song of the Day 3/24: Moby Grape, “Hey Grandma”

Filed in Arts and Entertainment by on March 24, 2020 2 Comments

Now that some Fox News talking heads, Texas Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick and various other sociopaths on TV and the interwebs — including the Orangutan in the Oval Office — have floated the idea of letting all Americans get infected with Covid-19 to save Our Lord The Economy, I thought it might be time to […]

Coons can’t get through 2 minute Morning Joe Segment without trashing Dems

Coons just spent his daily Morning Joe segment touting his experience running New Castle County and little else.   Because he can’t go two minutes without undermining Democrats, he did mention that some of his Democratic colleagues were trying to derail a $1 Trillion stimulus agreement with Mitch McConnell by bringing in “extraneous issues”  that […]

Song of the Day 3/23: Warren Zevon, “Don’t Let Us Get Sick”

Filed in Arts and Entertainment by on March 23, 2020 2 Comments

Can’t think of a more appropriate song for our current crisis. Warren Zevon wrote and recorded this before he knew he had the mesothelioma that would kill him just a few years later. It was released on “Life’ll Kill Ya” in 2000. He died in 2003. Don’t let us get sick Don’t let us get […]

‘Wartime President’ Abdicates War Powers.  But his poll numbers are going up, largely b/c of his daily campaign rallies masquerading as ‘Coronavirus Task Force’ briefings. Ceding all responsibility (and blame) to 50 governors so he can claim that it’s not his fault.  It seems that Joe Biden has gone back into hibernation.  Seriously, where the […]

Will Collaborationists Coons and Carper Vote for McConnell’s Corporate Giveaway?

Filed in National by on March 22, 2020 10 Comments

Mitch McConnell and his Repugnant caucus get their corporate bailout/worker fuckover bill through the Senate? They need Democratic votes to do it. Will Carper and Coons play along? Given their normal proclivities, signs point to “Yes,” particularly if other Democrats give them cover. Tomorrow morning would be a good time to flood their offices with […]

Everything Falls Apart, Ctd.  Where are the masks? We hear the daily platitudes from Trumpence, but the masks don’t come. Trump prefers to let ‘market forces’ work.  And blame everyone but him. JEE-zus. Again, stop giving Trump free air time for his propaganda. The networks show they have learned nothing from their coverage of his […]

Petty Bureaucrats Spring, Spraunk, Sprank Into Action

City commissioners in Lake Worth Beach, Florida, bicker over ad-hoc rules and hurdles that, as if by magic, make it virtually impossible to take emergency measures such as closing the beaches during the coronavirus pandemic.

Song of the Day 3/21: Kenny Rogers and the First Edition, “Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Was In)

Filed in Arts and Entertainment by on March 21, 2020 9 Comments

Kenny Rogers, singer, actor and roast-chicken entrepreneur, died yesterday at age 81. Say what you will, but Rogers scored more than 120 chart hits and sold more than 200 million records during his 60-year career, working in a broad range of musical styles, from jazz to folk to, most successfully, country. His first top 10 […]
