Feds Tear-Gas Portland Mayor. Of course, the Portland cops had tear-gassed the protestors for weeks before he finally deigned to show up at a protest. Here is a lot more on the ‘secret force’ occupying Portland. This is Nixon in 1968, except the protests have largely been peaceful, and Trump is fomenting violence for his reelection.  (Of course, we now know that Nixon was quietly fomenting violence amid peaceful protests as well.)  Trump is literally destroying the social order to get reelected. We are living through the darkest days in the history of the American presidency.

NYPD Dumped BLM Peaceful Protestors Into NYC Jails For Days. Legally. Time to change the laws.  The NYPD is a public menace.

With Trump working overtime to fuck everything up – We are not even at the beginning of the economic catastrophe.

At least school shootings are way down.

Sad truth from Jason, the real impact of what will become an economic catastrophe have yet to be felt. Having grown up in the NYC area I can assure you the NYPD has been part of the problem for many decades. And I am the grand son of a NYPD officer.

Which means you probably grew up on Long Island because officers of the NYPD don’t like to live where they work.

This “social justice project” is NOT the move. It’s the perfect example of the problem with incumbent Senator Cathy Cloutier: visually present during election years, but wholly lacking in action. Some may think stunts like these mean the Senator cares, but it doesn’t. It means she isn’t going to do anything else about pressing systemic issues.

“She looks forward to thinking of these flowers as symbols – and of course posting photos on Facebook – of how she was thinking about racial issues.”

Flowers are not action. Kyle Evans Gay is the woman we need right now.

I saw this article too. It would be funny if it wasn’t so damn sad how ineffective she has been all these years. I hope people hear about this and see it for what it is, like you said, just a stunt. Delaware needs real solutions and progress for racial equity — not houseplants and “Absent” votes when it counts.

    • Oh, Gawd, Greer Firestone. Yet another guy who inherited a lot of money and has come up with one hinky scheme after another his entire life. This is so typical of Cathy Cloutier. It will have no impact whatsoever, except to get a favorable write-up in a Rethug-leaning publication that nobody reads.
