NY AG Seeks To Dissolve The NRA.  The leaders allegedly looted the charitable arm of the organization and pocketed the money for themselves and their pals.  Here is a blow-by-blow description of the ‘rot’. You can pry the figurative firepower from their cold dead hands. Or, at least try.

Ga. Students Suspended After Sharing This Photo.  Now, there’s a school district with its priorities in order.  A bunch’a unmasked students packed into a hallway. What could go wrong?  Meanwhile, in Mississippi and elsewhere…

250,000 Unmasked Bikers To Descend On Sturgis.  Uh, might be a good time to consider selling that Harley-Davidson stock…

Did Pentagon Nominee’s Company Train Khashoggi’s Killers?  Sure looks like it.  The mind reels…

GOP Lawmaker Calls For Falwell’s Resignation.  He has ties to the school. Falwell’s response?: “I’m gonna try to be a good boy from here on out.”

DHS Trying To Tie Antifa To Foreign Powers.  It’s a rogue agency, alright, and it should be abolished. When it comes to phony adversaries, Antifa poses as much of a threat to the American Way Of Life as was Acorn. Remember them? Acorn was but a Rethug pretext to inflict rampant voter suppression on minorities, Antifa is but a Rethig pretext to rein down terror on protestors.

Black Activist Wins D Nomination For Tennessee US Senate Seat.  Has the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee ever endorsed the more progressive candidate in a primary?

Trump Anti-Vote-By-Mail Obsession Hurting Rethugs.  My fave anecdotal fact:

Looking ahead to November, the battleground state of North Carolina points to a continuation of that pattern. Voters there are already able to request mail ballots for the presidential contest. As of Thursday, the 121,717 applications recorded are running 10 times higher than the total at this time in 2016, according to data from the North Carolina Board of Elections. Of those, Democrats requested 60,502 compared to 18,974 for Republicans, a three-to-one advantage.

Police Accountability Task Force Holds First Meeting.  One thing seems clear: The Attorney General is on the side of the angels here.  How much ‘veto-power’ will the cops have, starting with ex-cop and Task Force chair Franklin Cooke?  Speaker Pete didn’t appoint Cooke to even put a dent in the blue wall.  That was a bad appointment, right there, and it was deliberate.

What do you want to talk about?

Biden thinks black people don’t have diversity of thought, unlike the Latinos, who do….His backtrack is even more perplexing. I’m kind of thinking that he let the cat out of the bag, and that this is the official Democratic Party view.

Wondering what the pundits at DL think of this. Surprised it hasn’t been mentioned yet.

Also, that NY AG bombshell was sort of a dud, right? I was thinking she had something on Trump.

    • Alby says:

You have no idea what Biden thinks. He was talking about diversity of origins, and the clip is taken out of context.

      I’m kind of thinking you’re a dim-witted dickhead.

Sort of a dud? Why? Because it wasn’t about Trump? Are you under the impression that fraud and graft were invented by him?

You don’t have enough brain power to light a refrigerator bulb, and you spend waaaay too much time watching cable TV “news” entertainment.

    • meatball says:

You are trying to make Biden out to be a racist compared to trump? I was literally in a black family’s home when this story came up on MSNBC they all started howling with laughter.

RE: the picture of the crowded mask-less hallways. the student who was suspended seems like a good egg – “I’d like to say this is some good and necessary trouble,” Watters said. “My biggest concern is not only about me being safe, it’s about everyone being safe because behind every teacher, student and staff member there is a family, there are friends, and I would just want to keep everyone safe.””

    • Alby says:

They’ve rescinded the suspension. It always amazes me why these dickheads don’t understand the negative reaction to their assholishness.

Here’s a good rule of thumb for conservatives: If you think it’s a good idea, it’s not, except in dystopian Hollywood dreck.

  3. RSE says:

First of all, I watch minimal cable TV of any kind except the Premiere League, and I usually watch that on my PC.

Secondly, as people learn of the comments Biden recently made, coupled with his past gaffes concerning racially offensive comments, I believe his campaign will suffer.

The black vote is crucial for Biden in this coming election. Seems like a very inopportune moment to make a statement like the one he did.

    • Alby says:

Only conservatives are saying this. It’s called “wishful thinking.”

A slab of head cheese would defeat Trump. A dead squirrel. A cow turd. Anything.

He’s a piece of shit, and everyone knows it except people who are also pieces of shit. What are you?

    • Alby says:

If you don’t watch cable TV news, why do you parrot everything they say? I don’t care where you think you’re getting your news, it’s coming from the propaganda wing of the GOP.

What’s your daddy think of what his party has turned into?

      • RSE says:

        .

My “daddy”, as you put it, Is an anti Trumper who is obviously disappointed that his party backs Trump, and I’m a 55 year old man who has no financial ties or benefits from my 88 year old father, so using the word “daddy” as a way of insulting me doesn’t really work ….I’m not Hunter Biden for fuck’s sake.

    Eastern Sussex Dems endorse Mantzavinos
The Eastern Sussex Dems’ Executive Committee have endorsed Spiros Mantzavinos in his campaign to flip the 7th State Senate District from red to blue. The 7th District is located in New Castle County and includes portions of Elsmere, Marshallton, Mill Creek, Newportand Pike Creek. Even though this district is not in Southern Delaware, the Eastern Sussex Dems felt it important to weigh in on this crucial state Senate contest. Currently, Democrats control the Senate by a narrow 12-9 margin. Often, issues – such as healthcare, roads, jobs, etc. – that directly affect Sussex Countians are considered and decided upon by non-Sussex legislators. After interviewing Mantzavinos, it was clear he had an excellent grasp of the issues affecting Sussex. Based on his background, his interview and the Democratic performance of the 7th District, (which has been ranked in the top 10 of the most flippable state legislative seats in the country), the Eastern Sussex Dems voted to endorse him for State Senate. Mantzavinos will be facing a well-funded incumbent Republican this November. His campaign, as have all campaigns this cycle, is operating virtually. In order for him to build momentum and be competitive through the Fall, his campaign needs financial support plus volunteers to make phone calls. For more information about Mantzavinos and his campaign – or to donate or volunteer – visit his website: http://www.spiros4statesenate.com.

The last thing I want is to see more of the Greek cabal in office to help booset Kathy Kremedas McGuiness. He’s fund-raising nationally in the Greek-American community, and like McGuiness will be another Pete Schwartzkopf stooge. He was McGuiness’ chief of staff, which ought to tell you all you need to know. That’s why “Eastern Sussex” will be involved.

If you think such people have the community’s best interests in mind, I encourage you to look up the shenanigans involving the Odyssey Charter School.

Mantzavinos has been a spokesperson for some scummy corporate clients; why would anyone think he would now oppose them? He is a Democrat in the same way that McGuiness and Pete Schwartzkopf are Democrats — because that’s the easiest way to bamboozle the public.

      I frankly prefer the Republican.

      • This is shaping up as a year when any R in NCC will lose based solely on turnout, especially of low information voters. I share some of your concerns about Spiros, but I think he will win based on the ‘calculus’ alone.
