Pope Francis Expresses Support For Same-Sex Unions. I can only hope that he has seeded the College Of Cardinals with like-minded individuals.
Two Weeks Inside The Trump Campaign Bubble. Wonder if Ryan Lizza has access to any of Hunter S. Thompson’s stash. Would come in handy.
Demographics As Destiny? How Trump’s base is sinking, inexorably and inevitably. If Biden wins this, the demographics are our friend moving forward.
Obama Kills It In Philly. I wonder where else he’s gonna campaign.

Blatant Voter Suppression In South Carolina. Courtesy of the Supreme Court’s evisceration of the Voting Rights Act. An even more destructive blow to democracy than Citizens United.

WTF? Delaware Voters Don’t Need To Wear Masks To Vote? That’s a bad decision right there.
Carney Seeks To Throw Election Ad Off Air. I’m sorry, maybe the ad is misleading, and the group behind it is hinky, but politics ain’t beanbag. A little thin-skinned, don’tchatink?
What do you want to talk about?
So follow me on this: The anti-Carney ads are another prong from the prick Phil Shawe of TransPerfect, whose goal is to wreck Chancery Court because a chancellor ruled against him and the wahmbulance wouldn’t pick him up.
Republicans are supposedly pro-business. Chancery Court is the linchpin of Delaware’s pro-business incorporation law, so one might think Republicans would try to protect it. But they’re so brainlessly opposed to Democrats that they’ll get in bed with a vengeful businessman whose proxies are pretending that they want a more balanced racial makeup of Chancery Court.
I’ve simply run out of words to describe how self-destructively stupid Republicans are.
I get it. Just don’t understand why Carney feels the need to get the ads off the air.
“Want of intellect” is my standard answer, and it seems to fit here.
If Phil Shawe wants to piss away $250 million to maintain control of a less-than-$1 billion company instead of paying it to his contract workers, who are paid less than the industry standard, that’s just more evidence of his incompetence, just as taking on the Delaware Way by pretending to be to its left is another sign that he doesn’t do his due diligence before blundering into his next bit of performative petulance.
Why Carney would worry about this is another matter entirely. There is no legitimate reason for him to react to this at all, as nobody gives a fuck. I blame it on the attitude of bullying cowardice that has always marked the state Democratic Party, and found its near-perfect expression in the administration of John Carney.
Biden’s stance on court-packing? Set up a bipartisan commission to study the issue:

He sure knows how to fire up the base.
It can’t be just me, but I’m think there’s good reason to believe that the Pope has the best interests of his clergy in mind.
