Who Were Delaware’s 2020 MVP’s (Most Valuable To The Progressive Cause)?

Filed in Delaware, Featured by on November 17, 2020

This was the best year for progressives in Delaware ever.  You all saw it, you all took part in it, you all basked in the success.

Meaning, it is now time for you to submit YOUR nominees for those who were most valuable to the progressive cause in Delaware.

I have one rule: When you nominate someone, or some someones, tell us why they deserve consideration.  That’s it.

The deadline for submissions is Delaware Day, December 7, 2020.

To quote Andy Reid: ‘Time’s yours.’

Karl Stomberg Highlands Bunker podcast lives up to its building “deepen solidarity in the local leftist community” mission statement.

And Stomberg has worked on many important races. Read his thing I’m the call “Beyond the Super Voter”. to see where his head is at and where we should all be.

As a member of the DelDems Red2Blue team, Karl made a big difference in those races with his technical skills. From building voter lists to graphic design to social media strategy, Karl rocked.

Marie Pinkney’s campaign was not an uphill battle it was a mountain range in a snowstorm! I was honored to assist Drew Serres in the climb! A fantastic candidate with a great team and a tremendous leader. Drew is the GOAT!

    • Yeah, Drew’s fingerprints were all over several of the progressive challengers’ races, dating back to the recruitment phase.

I gotta say, doing my little bit to help Marie was tremendously satisfying. When you win a close one like that, especially against such an entrenched incumbent, it makes you feel like maybe you made a difference.

Outgoing NCC Dem Chair, Dave Woodside. He brought a quiet, calm, progressive determination to the party at a time when less able leaders would have let the primary season turn into a mess. In a break from party tradition, he let the primary voters decide the primary winners and losers.

As a result of his work over the years NCC is almost entirely blue. [Fucking Ramone…fuck that guy]

    • Agreeable says:

Second this. Woodside was/is a tremendous asset to the party and the state. We’re much better off because of his work and hopefully he doesn’t go too far. Would love to see him on a ballot one day.

If there was someone who, quietly, was the “General Contractor” for criminal justice reform in Delaware, I believe Sarah Wooten to be that person.

In terms of organizing the existing bills, drafting new proposals, creating policy, etc. – that Person was Sarah.

Further, no one else has been more influential in bringing legislative leadership to the criminal justice reform table, advocating for that which some of us have worked on for many, many years, and convincing members of leadership that they should reconsider many preconceived positions and biases (and did so successfully), again, that was Sarah Wooten.

    • Thanks, I did not know that. I also think that having an AG committed to reform is a key element.

I wonder how far the cop lovers who run your chamber will allow police reform to move forward.
