I think we all knew what would happen with dispensing the vaccine, the high and mighty go first and the rest of us get to wait, we also knew “Operation Warp Speed” would be a bit of a joke at some point as the clowns in charge would not be to handle the logistics required. Suspect I won’t get it until June.

Naturally. McConnell will make sure this bill fails while Perdue and Loeffler are able to vote Yes if they want.
For the rest of the Repub senators, voting No isn’t even a hard vote. By the time their next election comes around, they will be campaigning on their austerity records, and running attack ads about their Dem opponent’s support for deficits.
I agree, the Loefler and Pudue votes are strictly not not blow it in the Georgia senate race, I also think creepy old Mitch will kill the $2,000 payment at some point.

Contrary to what the right wing Trumpster cultists allege the Pakistani gender programs were not included in the COVID relief bill

But this provision—and other defense measures such as $73 million in spending for Israel’s Iron Dome 9 defense system —is not part of the COVID relief package. It’s part of the defense bill contained in the $1.4 trillion omnibus that was bound up with the COVID relief bill.
So the Pakistani gender programs were not included in the COVID relief bill.
I’m betting Mitch will take his time but eventually OK the $2,000 checks. WTF, we can spend like drunken sailors through Jan. 19, then we can say no to everything for the next four years.
Point taken, but ln the other hand, a $2000 payout now will promote a “Biden boom” especially as people start to get vaccinated this spring, which will go against Republican narratives. Plus any Repub who votes for the relief will have a harder time running against the deficit in 2022 (but not impossible).
