You have to wonder what Randy Rainbow’s next gig will be in the post-Trump era. Will he turn into Vaughn Meader, the JFK impersonator whose career evaporated after Kennedy’s assassination? Meader was actually a musician before his First Family-spoofing comedy album, and he returned to music after his fall from popularity. Rainbow was an aspiring singer pre-Trump, so maybe he has some hope for a second act. But it’s a little bit sad to realize that this might be his last hurrah.
As he notes in his intro, he just used “Tradition” from Fiddler on the Roof in a different parody a couple of months ago. No matter, it fits better here.
