Vladimir Putin is demonstrating that he’s just like the fake president he installed in the U.S. — a big baby incapable of running a country on anything but the thuggist terms of a crime boss. Because Joe Biden pointed out that he’s a murderous thug, he’s recalled the Russian ambassador for urgent talks. What’s he going to tell him, “The jig’s up”?
The much more dangerous bunch of asswipes running China caused a ruckus at high-level U.S.-China talks in Anchorage with some non-diplomatic remarks. A top Pentagon strategist said the “biggest takeaway of Anchorage meeting isn’t the debating points, it’s China’s confidence & assertiveness. They know they’re very strong.”
The Covid news isn’t good. Cases, many of them involving new variants, are on the rise as many states loosen restrictions.
In their desperate bid to find a scandal they can use to attack the Biden administration, the media is now trying to conjure a “vaccines for migrant crackdown” deal that the administration has supposedly engaged in with Mexico. Never mind that the Astra-Zeneca vaccine we’re sending south isn’t yet approved for use in the U.S., or the vast difference between negotiating with carrots rather than sticks. It doesn’t help that left-wingers insist that it’s right and proper that the perfect be the enemy of the good.
How afraid are Republicans of the drooling, zombie-brained electorate they created? CNN surveyed members of the House to see how many had been vaccinated. Most Democrats have, though 29 of them didn’t answer. Among Republicans, 145 — nearly three-quarters of their caucus — did not respond. It’s quite obvious that, despite their public bullshit, Republicans have eagerly pushed to the front of the line for vaccines, and most of those non-responders have certainly been vaccinated. They’re just afraid to admit it to their shit-brained constituents.
The New York Times’ David Leonhardt upholds that newspaper’s tradition of fecklessness by both-sidesing Covid information, insisting that Democrats overestimate the danger and therefore have damaged America’s children by closing schools to in-person learning. To show how full of shit he is, he cites concerns about over-population from the ’70s, “when people on the left wrongly predicted that the world would run out of food.” Beyond his mischaracterization of concerns of overpopulation, does this dipshit think that the industrialization of food production, including the introduction of monopolistic genetically modified seeds, is going to solve that problem forever? Fuck you, David. Makes you wonder how humanity survived for thousands of generations before public education, or really any modern development — did they whine endlessly or did they adapt to changing conditions? Personally, I think the world was much better before the invention of the New York Times.
The floor’s yours.
