I think there will be a ringer in the jury as well, and I think it’s part of the plant to get Chauvin off and throw the blame to the ringer, who must be a very brave or stupid man or woman. Regardless I expect endless appeals and a last ditch attempt to water down what I am assuming to be more of a wrist slap then anything else. Riots? Hell yeah, rage to say the least.
The Philadelphia Inquirer continues to break Delaware news that local sources miss, this time a coalition of people fighting Wilmington’s predatory towing practices:
https://www.inquirer.com/news/wilmington-parking-coalition-philadelphia-courtesy-tow-20210420.html
One of the reporters credited on the Inky story, Marina Affo, was a News Journal reporter on the Wilmington beat for at least a couple of years, and in typical NJ fashion is still listed in its online staff directory.
I started to hope the towing story meant the Inky would be taking a closer interest in Delaware, particularly Wilmington, news in future, but Affo’s Inky bio, alas, says she does “quick strike investigations on all things Philly,” and the story relates the Wilmington angle to Philly’s own towing problem.
