About nine hours after a 38-year-old woman was shot dead in the parking lot of Smyrna Middle School Tuesday morning, the city police department and Delaware State Police were called to another crime scene.
The article splashed across the cover of Saturday’s New York Post seemed designed to enrage Republicans who railed against the Biden administration’s …
Major news networks largely ignored the bombshell report that U.S. special envoy for climate change John Kerry had once given Iran details about Israel’s covert …
There is at least some context to the plastic bag ban.
Due to the pandemic, which precluded customers from using their own bags in the stores, there soon became a severe shortage of brown paper bags. The solution? Thicker, reusable plastic bags, at least, until the shortage abated.
Hopefully, those plastic bags will soon be phased out. If not, then I hope the proposed bill makes them disappear.
From Jennifer Rubin, the WaPo anti-Trump conservative columnist who I predict is going to wind up leaving the GOP, if only so she can stop throwing up.
The administration benefits in keeping the focus on substance when Republicans have so little substance to offer. Reporters and pundits regularly bemoan the sparseness of Biden’s interactions with the media, but that is not governing; that is performance art for a media and political culture used to feeding off constant bickering over what the president said, what he meant, who he allegedly offended and the hyperfocus on “process.”
Having a long hard laugh at the Maricopa County recount de jour, this time with a world class field of loonies, losers and Qanon maniacs Expect a few law suits will arise due to this idiotic game. Also expect the idiots to be back with new and even more pathetic attempts to overturn a valid election in 2020. Believe they call the Sedition.
Another consequence of cops running the Delaware asylum: The police still haven’t released any information about the identities of the shooter and victim at Smyrna Middle School. I understand that they’re still investigating, but they feel no responsibility at all for keeping the public informed.
With Alby on this one, until we flush the famed Cop Cabal there will be no reform worth the name in Delaware and the police will continue to see themselves as a law unto themselves.
Joe Biden is really good at politics (probably have to give Pelosi credit here too). Giving a rebuttal to your own speech is a brilliant and unexpected move. The Democratic “Go bigger faster” message will be delivered by an African American representative, in counterpoint to the Republican “Go smaller slower” rebuttal by Tim Scott and taking the wind out of the media racial narrative that would inevitably follow Scott’s speech:
WASHINGTON (Reuters) – After U.S. President Joe Biden gives his first joint address to Congress on Wednesday, one of the more progressive members of his own Democratic party, Representative Jamaal Bowman, plans to deliver a response.
It is routine for a member of the opposition party to give a rebuttal to a president’s address, and Republicans have chosen Senator Tim Scott to do so this time. But it is very unusual for someone from the president’s own party to deliver a reply.
Bowman, 45, a Black former middle school principal who ousted a 16-term incumbent in New York City last November, is expected to urge Biden to push forward with a progressive agenda while the party has control of the White House, the House of Representatives, and the Senate.
“His main message is that this is a narrow historic moment of opportunity … and we need to take advantage of that and meet the moment with even bolder action on climate change, bold action to combat racial and economic inequality,” Bowman’s spokesman, Karthik Ganapathy, said.

I actually reuse them. But then, I actually reuse the flimsy ones they replaced, too.

Crush the Cop Cabal.
